Childhood Obesity Treatment

Childhood obesity treatment is available to those who will take the initiative to search for it, but not utilized anywhere close to the extent that it needs to be! As statistics regarding the epidemic become more frightening every year, more information on how to confront the situation has been presented, but rarely used.

Many statistics regarding the crisis in The United States Of America have been well documented, although disregarded by too many, for several years. The Heart And Stroke Foundation has recently released some tragic information concerning overweight and obesity issues in Canada, and how it could have been avoided if childhood obesity treatment and overweight issues were confronted at an earlier age.

The following are some recent statistics from The Heart And Stroke Foundation of Ontario:

1. 44% of the people in Toronto are overweight or obese.

2. Obesity rates in Canada have doubled, or tripled in the 40-69, and 20-39 age groups, over the past 30 years.

3. Canadians in the 20-39 age group are a new at-risk group, because 2.5 million are obese or overweight, 2 million are smokers, and 3 million are doing little, if anything about it.
